ABOUT ME

My Mission

To help people get in shape and stay in shape. I genuinely care about helping those who are truly ready for change and will make difficult sacrifices in order to achieve results.

I began my career as a personal trainer began in 2016, but before becoming a Certified Personal Trainer and a Certified Nutrition Specialist (through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the International Sports Sciences Association), I was 265 pounds and had several health issues.

At my heaviest, I had a 38 inch waistline, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, pre-diabetes, social anxiety, depression, and panic attacks. I was highly addicted to soda and fast food and did not exercise at all.

Some of the panic attacks led me to believe that I was having heart attacks! So I drove to the ER several times and dialed 911 for EMS to come to my house, and even at our hotel when we were on vacation. This was all happening in my early 20’s, it was embarrassing and I knew I would eventually die if I continued living life like nothing was wrong.

After making some necessary changes that were recommended by my doctor, I ended up losing 96 pounds. Because I went through that entire process myself, I now fully understand what a lot of my clients go through when they try to change their habits. I’ve been in their shoes before, which means I can help them in a way that most fitness coaches and other healthcare professionals can’t.

It’s not an easy road and it’s even more difficult when you don’t know what to do or you have the wrong support system around you. If you’re struggling to get the results that you want, it’s usually due to one or more of the reasons listed below:

  • You lack the knowledge / education because no one has ever taught you.

  • You get motivated or inspired to make changes in your life, but you lack the discipline to follow or sacrifice anything for a long time.

  • You have no one who holds you accountable or helps you stick with the program.

  • You struggle to get control of your eating habits because you’re hooked on junk foods and/or drinks.

  • You have a busy schedule and feel like you can’t find time to exercise, so you don’t even bother.

  • Other people (your spouse, your friends or your family) don’t support you or care about your goals and often lead you back to bad habits (smoking, vaping, drinking or eating junk foods on a regular basis).

  • You lack confidence because you don’t know what you’re doing and are intimidated by all the people and all of the equipment in a gym.

It can be incredibly frustrating and discouraging to waste precious time, effort and money trying to figure out how to get in shape. And it feels even worse when you’re stuck in the same place after it’s all said and done. This is why working with an experienced professional who will guide, support, motivate and encourage you is the best decision you can make if you want real results in the end.
